Joshua Gans is a leading economist and the Jeffrey S. Skoll Chair in Technical Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. An authority on the economics of innovation, he serves as Chief Economist of the Creative Destruction Lab. He is best known for co-authoring “Prediction Machines,” where he provides a simple economic framework for understanding artificial intelligence. Gans holds a PhD from Stanford and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
