Robert A. Burgelman is the Edmund W. Littlefield Professor of Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a prominent authority on corporate strategy and organizational evolution. Since 1981, he has researched the complex processes of how strategy-making drives firm adaptation and long-term survival. His insights are drawn from extensive longitudinal studies of technology leaders like Intel and Hewlett-Packard. He is the author of Strategy Is Destiny and a Fellow of both the Strategic Management Society and the Academy of Management.
